This year, my little church and I packed around 122 shoeboxes for children around the world for the first time. Each shoebox is not just a Christmas gift, but in fact they are each ‘gospel opportunities’. Each box that a child receives presents them with the Gospel and enrols them in a 12 week discipling course which concludes with a graduation certificate and ceremony. Oftentimes, this may be the only event the child ever graduates from. It was a really special thing for us to engage and serve the Global Church through at Christmas time through something like packing Gospel Shoeboxes. I pray that each shoebox that we packed brings true salvation to each child that receives it.
